Remedial Massage

Remedial massage treatments are designed to address specific conditions such as muscular pain including areas such as the back, shoulders, neck knees and hip region. In addition to this a vast range of conditions can be treated including headaches, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, joint pain, tennis elbow and chronic pain in general. Correction of postural imbalances associated with occupational stresses such as long hours spent hunched over computer screens and physically demanding work can also be addressed, along with recovery from injuries both recent and past. Remedial massage therapy incorporates a wide array of techniques including relaxation techniques, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, dynamic and passive stretching techniques, myofascial release, acupressure therapy, Chapman's reflex point therapy and other techniques such as dry needling and cupping when appropriate

Remedial Therapies

We provide a range of other effective remedial therapies including the following: - Cupping Therapy - Gua Sha - Myofascial Release - Craniosacral Therapy - Acupressure - Infra Red Heat Therapy

Relaxation Massage

The slow smooth strokes of relaxation massage (also known as Swedish massage) encourage the body and mind to deeply relax. Add to this the low pressure application of circular movements and gentle kneading and you have a treatment that is a completely pain free way to unwind and relax. Many clients find that they are not aware of how much stress and tension they are carrying around until it is released. Relaxation massage provides many other health benefits both physically and psychologically.

Craniosacral Therapy

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a powerful technique that involves the insertion of acupuncture needles into taught painful points in muscles and tendons known as trigger points. This technique can reduce muscular and joint pain along with treating conditions such as headaches, plantar fasciitis, sciatica and back pain to name just a few of the conditions that can benefit from dry needling. When used in conjunction with remedial massage and other techniques fantastic results can be achieved with minimal discomfort.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is an incredibly effective therapy that comes in many forms and can be used to treat many conditions. Cupping is used by the Australian Institute of Sports to enhance the performance of Olympic athletes. You may have seen US swimmers on the blocks sporting the tell tale circular marks on their shoulders and back at last last few Olympics. Not all cupping leads to the marks (which fade within 3-10 days) as some methods involve sliding the cups rather than leaving them in one position. We have been trained by the leading experts in sliding cupping which is used for treatment muscle pain including back neck shoulder hip and knee pain and conditions such as planter fasciitis (often completed resolved in 3 treatments or less) knee pain, frozen shoulder and headaches) and are currently completing our training in other styles such as fire cupping, Russian cupping massage and detoxification cupping which we will be offering from July. We are particularly passionate about cupping as it was this approach which led to the healing of David's own chronic neck pain after just a few treatments. He had tried everything available from acupuncture through to chiropractic without results, but it was cupping that lead to complete healing!
